The Gioiello Estate Ring is named for the Gioiello Galaxy Cluster — a glittering body of pink stars over 400 trillion times the mass of the sun. A look into the kaleidoscope of intense pink of this oval cabochon feels like looking into the universe. It is truly otherworldly.
And not only is it stunning to behold, it is incredible to feel. Estate rings of this size are typically pronged or hollow on the underside with not enough gold to honor the stone. We designed the solid gold bezel of the Gioiello to fully envelop the oval, pink tourmaline cabochon so that the ring has a satisfying heft and glides beautifully over the knuckle.
This ring feels as good as it looks.
Gemstone Note: This shade of pink is known as "rubellite" and is the rarest and most intense shade in the tourmaline family. It grows in slender prismatic and columnar crystals, and mining rough of this width is uncommon. Ethically sourced from a family-owned mine in Brazil. As a hand-cut, natural stone, color and shape will have slight variation.
Please note, we offer a lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects on all of our pieces. We do not warranty stone damage, breakage or loss, and suggest you insure your jewelry against loss, damage and theft.
